Conceptual Realism Art by Susan Helen Strok
"Ribbon of Gold" Acrylic on Canvas 24" x 30" © Susan Helen Strok 2017
This painting is a statement on the nature of relationships. Susan is making an observation that the balance of devotion between a couple is very often uneven. Here, although the swan adores the woman, the woman holds the connection loosely, and is looking away. The setting of deepest night was chosen to depict the sense of intimacy that darkness brings.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION
Recently I was sent a link to a really well researched and information packed blog on choosing the best graphite and colored pencils. It covers a very wide range of brands and lists pros and cons. This is written by a British group called WonderStreet. It reflects a summary of feedback from artists around the world. I was asked to share their blog, so here is the link. Happy reading!
